About Marilyn
.
Marilyn is a fine artist that studied fine art in St Louis, and San
Antonio. Marilyn has been doing this type of work since the 1990s. Raised in the
midwest Marilyn now lives in south Texas. Her work is done mostly in a primitive style. Ceramic
masks are her present favorite, and have been very successful. The ceramic primitive masks are
electric kiln fired, raku fired, and barrel fired and average in size from15" to 36" in height. The large cloth
wall hangings are also done in a primitive style, and are also a favorite of Marilyn's but are created
less frequently due to the required intricate workmanship and length of time it takes to make each
piece. These average 5' to 7' in height. Some believe there
is a therapeutic 'mandala' quality in the large cloth wall hangings. Marilyn does other types of art, but
the primitive ceramic masks, and cloth wall hangings have been her favorites for a long time.
